What is Thermostat Scheduler

Thermostat Scheduler allows creation of detailed schedules that adjust the thermostat setpoint or mode automatically, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Тhe Thermostat Scheduler can lower the temperature at night or reduce heating/cooling during the day when the house is unoccupied.

Morning Thermostat Automations

When hub mode becomes morning, set the thermostat to 76 °F in cool mode or 68 °F in heat mode.

Night Thermostat Automations

When hub mode becomes night, set the thermostat to 78 °F in cool mode or 66 °F in heat mode.

Away Hub Mode

When hub mode becomes away, set the thermostat to 79 °F in cool mode or 65 °F in heat mode.

Use Built-In Mode Manager or Thermostat Scheduler App

While the other examples use hub mode (which the built-in Mode Manager app can help you automate based on time of day, day of week, presence, or other events and conditions), you can also use simple time periods directly in the Thermostat Scheduler app if you prefer.

Thermostat Scheduler also offers an “eco mode” feature

This feature allows you to specify a certain number of degrees to adjust your thermostat up (in cool mode) or down (in heat mode) that. When eco mode is enabled, Thermostat Scheduler will adjust your actual setpoints by the specified amount compared to your regular settings.

With Thermostat Scheduler, you can make use of events and conditions you may already be using on your hub to automate your thermostat in conjunction with other devices on your hub.

Thermostat Scheduler helps turn any basic connected Z-Wave, Zigbee, or LAN/cloud thermostat into a truly smart thermostat, but it can also be used in place of existing “smart” thermostat controls for additional power or integration if you prefer.

With Hubitat, you can create advanced automations that the manufacturer app may not offer.
